Boo to you, Emily, and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
It sounds like you have a spook-tacular reason to celebrate at
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party this October! Let me be the first to wish you a very happy 21st
birthday! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
As you mentioned, unfortunately tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
are sold out. I checked the
ticket details, and it states that tickets may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes. So, I think you should be just fine with using the tickets this family is gifting you. What a treat! I was actually in a similar situation a few years back, when I wasn’t able to get a ticket to the event, and a planDisney friend ended up with an extra ticket he gifted me. Even though the ticket was originally assigned to someone else, I was able to use it to enter the event since the ticket was still unused. I simply linked the ticket information to my
Disneyland app, and had no problem scanning it at the front gate upon arrival. So, the family can either send you a screenshot of their tickets, or the ticket information, so you can link them to your Disneyland app.
I can’t wait for you to experience the magic of celebrating your birthday at Oogie Boogie Bash, Emily! From the immersive treat trails, to the mysterious and mystical Villains Grove, to the Frightfully Fun Parade, there’s so much to see and do! I recommend waiting until the very end of the party to visit Villains Grove – when I did this, I was able to experience the walk through Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at my own pace, which was amazing!
Wishing you many happy haunts and a birthday to remember!
Kristin
