Hi, Its my first time taking my 2yo daughter to disney. She is into mickey, minnie and their friends. I was wondering if there was a hotel more Mickey decorated or themed. I was wondering if you could help me decide what hotel is best for a 2yo.

    Hi Trinidad,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How exciting to be taking your young daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time! Although there is not a hotel at Walt Disney World resort themed directly to Mickey Mouse and his friends, they are of course evident at so many places around Walt Disney World including the theme parks. Let me offer you a couple of suggestions for hotels.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is iconic, with the monorail swooshing through the Grand Concourse of the hotel. It would be a great choice for someone who loves Mickey Mouse. At Diney's Contemporary Resort, you can dine at Chef Mickey's with Mickey Mouse and his friends dressed up in their chef gear. This resort is also a quick monorail ride or walk to Magic Kingdom, where you can find Mickey Mouse and his friends in so many places, including for character meetings, in parades, and in attractions.

Another thought for your resort hotel, which does not focus on Mickey Mouse but does include larger-than-life colorful icons that might appeal to your daughter, is Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This resort focuses on animation, and has areas themed to The Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid. The Big Blue Pool is huge and has underwater speakers, as well as a nearby water play area. You can also choose between standard hotel rooms and family suites at this resort, which gives you an option for more space.

I hope that these suggestions are helpful for you, Trinidad! Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
