Greetings, Anthony, and thank you for bringing your question to me at
planDisney! I’d love to help you get your
Spider-Bot back in working order!
Yes, there is a self-destruct mode for the Spider-Bots, and it can be activated on your remote by pressing the tiny circular button in the very middle of the remote. You’ll hear it say, “Self-destruct in 3, 2, 1,” and then the dome on top will pop off! This also happens after all 10 of its Digital Lives are depleted during a battle with another Spider-Bot. (The 10 Digital Lives are represented by the five LEDs at the top of the remote). When the dome pops off, the Spider-Bot will power down, and you won’t be able to re-attach the dome until you turn your Spider-Bot to the “off” position, and then return it to the “on” position to start it over once again. Once you’ve turned it back on, you can replace the dome and you should hear it say, “Spider-Bot online.” Be sure to also turn the remote off and back on again to reload the Deluxe Blaster ammo.
I hope this helps you get your Spider-Bot out of a sticky situation, Anthony! Should you have any additional issues, you can also send an email to
merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com to demonstrate the problem you’re having. You would need to include an image showing your proof of purchase, as well as a brief description of the issue you’re having, or even a video if you’re able to capture it.
I hope your heroic sidekick is back in working order soon, Anthony, since the Worldwide Engineering Brigade needs you!
Happy web slinging,
Kristin
