Hi, Is it possible to book 1-day tickets for Dec 31st, 2024 for the Magic Kingdom park? I only see 2-day tickets available on your website. Thanks in advance for your answer. Celine

    Bonjour Celine!

Welcome to planDisney! Oh, Celine, you will soon be in the most Magical Place on Earth celebrating the New Year!

There are certainly single-day tickets for sale to Guests at Walt Disney World Resort however, they are not available internationally. Guests from the European Union only have theme park ticket options starting at 2 days and going up to 10 days. Normally, I would suggest to International Guests that you buy single-day tickets after they arrive in the United States. However, I just saw that the single-day ticket option available to guests in the United States is sold out for Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT on December 31, 2024. Celine, have you considered spending two days at Walt Disney World Resort? I know, I know, it is a bit last minute but your best option is to purchase a 2-day ticket with a start date of December 30, 2024. This will give you a 4-day date range that lets you visit the Park for 2 days between December 30, 2024, to January 2, 2025. This way, on December 31, 2024, you can visit Magic Kingdom Park and you now have a bonus day you can use to visit EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney's Hollywood Studios! Date-based tickets do not need a theme park reservation so by buying a multi-day option you can work around the currently sold-out single-day option and still visit Magic Kingdom Park. However, I have to warn you, that all of this tells me that Magic Kingdom Park is looking to be very busy. There is a chance that even with a valid ticket you may not be allowed to enter the Park if it reaches capacity. Magic Kingdom Park can potentially reach capacity on New Year's Eve and has done so in the past. You must make your way into Magic Kingdom Park before 10:30 am and stay there the whole day. (The earlier the better.) Take it easy and make sure to conserve your energy as it will be a long day. Magic Kingdom Park will close at midnight after the countdown to the midnight fireworks show. It will be spectacular and you should not miss it!

A great way to recover is to have a dining reservation. Spend a few hours cooling off, eating a yummy meal, and resting your feet. My favorite option for a meal at Magic Kingdom Park is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The Cast Members are hilarious and the food is flavorful!

I hope this was helpful and you can experience this fun way to celebrate the New Year!

    Happy Planning!
