Ahoy Jony!
Yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for you! I’m thrilled to hEAR you are charting a course to an adventure at sea with Disney Cruise Line. Hope that you are already counting down the days until your upcoming sailing with Captain Mickey!
Aren’t you a bright buccaneer in wanting to know about paying for your Disney cruise? While Disney Cruise Line does not have payment plans for Guests, you can make payments anytime you like
toward your reservation after the initial deposit has been made. But don’t go so far as to put your money in a treasure chest and bury it! Instead, I recommend that you create a special account EARmarked just for your cruise savings. Then over time, make payments as you see fit, savvy? So long as you have your cruise paid off by the Payment in Full date, you’re all set!
Captain Mickey has temporarily extended the
final payment deadline to 60 days prior to sailing (for cruises through September 2021), so Guests now have even more flexibility with their Disney dollars. Since the itinerary you are eyeing is for August 2021, your sailing would fall under this extension.
Another idea on how to save for your cruise is to purchase
Disney gift cards and use those for payments and onboard spending. Did you know you can combine multiple gift cards onto one card? Once you create an account on the Disney Gift Card website, multiple cards can all be combined on a single card (up to $ 1000).
You'll be happy to know that
Pirate Night is a featured celebration on most Disney Cruise Line itineraries, and your voyage is no exception. As your cruise date gets closer, you can view "My Plans" under "My Reservations" on the Disney Cruise Line website and see your full itinerary by day, including deck parties like Pirate Night. All schedules and activities are always subject to change, but this is the surefire way to find out what events and themed nights will take place during your cruise.
Jony, grab your compass and chart a course back to planDisney as you make your cruise plans. We are happy to be your crewmates and steer you in the right direction.
Fair winds and following seas!
