Gawrsh, Melithia! I’m so glad you brought your question to planDisney!
It sounds like you’re also a fan of Goofy and his fabulous dining spot,
Goofy’s Kitchen, located at the
Disneyland Hotel! Unfortunately, the
Hotels of the
Disneyland Resort are
currently closed, and will reopen at a later date. So, I’m sad to report that Goofy’s Kitchen is also temporarily closed. I wish I had more information to give you on when the Disneyland Hotel and Goofy’s Kitchen will reopen, but unfortunately, that information isn’t available at this time. I recommend staying tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for the exciting reopening announcement, when the time is right! The Disney Parks Blog is my favorite spot to get the latest and greatest Disney Parks news.
I do have some good news for you, though, Melithia! The
Downtown Disney District has begun
a phased reopening, and most of the shops and dining locations are currently open! Just keep in mind that dining locations are currently only serving Guests on outdoor patios due to state and county guidelines. I’ve visited the Downtown Disney District several times since it reopened last month, and I’ve been very impressed with the enhanced cleanliness procedures and physical distancing in place!
For a list of shopping locations that are currently open,
click here. Also, for a list of dining locations that are currently open,
Naples Ristorante e Bar and
Black Tap Burgers & Shakes recently, and have enjoyed wonderful meals on their outdoor patios!
Before your visit, don’t forget to
check here for all the details you’ll need to know for a successful adventure. Also, be sure to bring a face covering that follows
these guidelines for yourself and any Guests age 2 and older.
Last but not least, if you plan to visit the Downtown Disney District on a weekend, I recommend making a dining reservation in advance. That way, if parking fills up in the Simba Lot, Guests with a dining reservation can speak with a parking lot Cast Member to show proof of their reservation to gain parking access. You can find the Simba Lot at Disneyland Drive and Katella Ave. I’m thrilled to report that parking at the Simba Lot is complimentary right now, too!
I hope these tips help you enjoy a piece of Disney magic, Melithia! I can’t wait to return to the Happiest Place on Earth when the time is right!
See ya’ real soon,
Kristin
