hi, I'm trying to budget how much fun money I should bring to the disney world? I'm wondering how much stuffed Mickeys are (like Jedi Mickey), mouse ear hats, light up toys, ect, ect...just trying to budget for August.

    Hi, Melanie!

Shopping in Walt Disney World is so much fun!  Maybe TOO much fun, but who can resist!  You will definitely want to set a budget for yourself as you can go mouse-crazy with all the great merchandise.

The cute Mickey plush start at around $20 and go up from there.   Mouse ears start at about $15 and up, the spinning light up toys are around $20.  The ever popular Mickey Mouse T-shirts start at around $20 and up.

You will want to take your time and browse the merchandise before buying to try to avoid all those impulse purchases.  The one good thing is that prices are the same across property, so you do not have to worry about finding the same item cheaper somewhere else.

There are ways to save some money on souvenirs.  There are some discounts if you are a Disney Rewards Visa card holder, or if you book your magical vacation package through your AAA office, they offer a discount card at certain shops, restaurants, and experiences.  (Discounts vary, see your AAA office for details.)

Start saving for all the great Disney Merchandise just waiting for you at Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
