Greetings Lauren and welcome to planDisney!
My very first visit to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort was this summer, and I absolutely loved it! Easy access to the Disney Skyliner, a quick walk to
Disney’s Riviera Resort, and so many hammocks to jump in to take a quick little nap! Perfect!
The other perfect thing about Caribbean Beach is the choice of getting a room with the 5th sleeper. The 5th sleeper is a Murphy bed that pulls down from the wall underneath the television set and is the perfect size for a smaller Mouseketeer!
Lauren, while I was at the front desk at Caribbean Beach, I talked with a Cast Member about the 5th sleeper rooms. The friendly Cast Member told me that when you have a group of five people listed on your reservation, you will get the 5th sleeper room. It is always a good idea to put a note on your reservation to confirm your need for that 5th sleeper. I would also recommend a phone call to the
reservations phone line to chat with a Cast Member to add this information to your reservation. You will cover all your bases this way!
Lauren, I was in a preferred room in the Martinique section at Caribbean Beach, and I had the 5th sleeper in my room. The location of the Martinique area was perfect for me. Within easy walking distance to the spectacular
Fuentes del Morro Pool and Old Port Royale with its Calypso Trading Post and Centertown Market. I enjoyed the proximity to Disney’s Riviera Resort and made the quick walk to grab lunch multiple times at
Primo Piatto. I also recommend if you stay in the Martinique section of the resort consider walking to the Riviera Skyliner hub instead of walking to the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station if you are heading to EPCOT. It was a short walk and takes a few minutes off your trip.
Lauren, you are going to love the vibe at Caribbean Beach! Have an amazing adventure and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
