Hi Simon! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to hear you're planning to visit
Walt Disney World this fall! October is a wonderful time of year to visit, with the weather cooling down slightly from the summer months and the Halloween season upon us.
Guests who reside in England can purchase park tickets in increments of 7 and 14 days. These are known as
Disney Magic Tickets and can be secured before arriving for your stay. Since you only have four days to visit the parks, you may not be interested in purchasing a 7-day ticket. In this case, you will need to wait until you arrive in the United States to purchase them. Upon arrival, you can access the US-based Walt Disney World website and buy the ticket package that fits your trip. Based on the information you provided, it seems like a 3-day park ticket with the Water Park and Sports Option makes the most sense. This will give you three theme park days along with visits to the water park. If you prefer to have the ability to visit multiple parks each day, then adding the Park Hopper Plus Option will be your best bet. This will give you the chance to
hop to multiple theme parks each day.
I highly suggest comparing the cost of Disney Magic Tickets with waiting to purchase tickets in the United States. While you may not be able to use all of the park days that come along with them, it may be more cost-effective to go this route. Disney Magic Tickets include water park visits and park hopping capabilities, so you will not need to add these extras to your ticket purchase. Plus, you can secure your park tickets and begin planning accordingly for your stay instead of waiting until you arrive to make your purchase.
Simon, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay! With your visit coinciding with the Halloween holiday, there is a special event occurring at the Magic Kingdom during this time.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will be held on select nights from August to October, and is one of my favorite events to attend. I recommend considering attending if you can fit it into your schedule.
Happy planning!
Greg
