Hi, I'm traveling to Disneyland California with my family in January 2024. We are thinking about staying at an onsite hotel. Does this give you any discount on the park ticket?

Hi there, Jane. A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you. We're so glad you stopped by to ask us this question. I can't think of a better way to start off the new year than with a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort.

It sounds like you might be thinking about purchasing a Disneyland Vacation Package - a good choice. While there aren't any discounts on theme park tickets when staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, there are some pretty wonderful benefits. My favorite perk of all is the Early Entry benefit which allows you entrance into the theme park 30 minutes before regular park opening. Starting January 2024, there will be one designated theme park available for early entry for each day. Make sure to check the theme park calendar to see which park will be available for early entry for each day of your stay. I love using this time to ride some of the popular attractions that may have higher wait times throughout the day.

You're also staying right in the magic with quick and convenient access to both theme parks. And if you choose to stay at the classic and iconic Disneyland Hotel, you will have quick and convenient access to a DOLE Whip - need I say more? I'm going to change my mind and say that this is my favorite perk of all.

When booking a vacation package, you will also receive an exclusive Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard for each Guest who is aged 3 and over on your reservation. You will also receive discounts at select participating dining and merchandise locations throughout Downtown Disney District. On top of all that, you can also make payments toward your vacation along the way. At the time of purchase, you will be required to make a small deposit and the remaining balance will be due 30 days before your arrival date. However, you can make additional payments leading up to the day your final balance is due.

Jane, I hope I've given you some things to consider as you make your decision about where to stay during your magical visit. Come back to visit us with any other questions that may cross your mind. We're always here and we love to help.

    Happy planning!
    Michelle
