hi,Im training as a teacher and im only allowed to take my holidays in school holiday times, which means i only get 2 weeks at end of march-april, 2 weeks at xmas and 6 weeks summer. what is the best time to go so that its not to hot or crowded?

    Hi Francesca,

Greetings from a fellow teacher!  I understand your dilemma completely.  It's hard to find a time to visit Walt Disney World when it's not too hot or crowded when you're tied to a traditional school calendar.  Among the choices you listed, I would opt for Walt Disney World in the spring.  In my opinion, this is the time of year when Walt Disney World is at its most gorgeous.  The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is taking place and temperatures are as comfortable as they will be all year.  Stay away from Easter when possible.  For instance, since Easter is April 8th this year, I'd go in late March instead of the first week of April.  However, if you can't avoid the weeks before and after Easter, just be sure to hit the parks at opening time to avoid the worst of the crowds.

Can I make another creative suggestion?  Take your students on a field trip to Walt Disney World.  Then you can visit at a lovely, not-too-crowded time of year.  That's what I do.  In fact, I'll be taking some of my students down to Florida in a few weeks.  I can't wait!

I'll be sending pixie dust your way, Francesca, so that you have a truly magical vacation whenever it is that you visit Walt Disney World.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
