Hi I’m staying in Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, my plan is to start a day in one of the theme parks then go to water park and go back to theme park at the same day do you think it’s possible? Can you please advise thanks?

    Hi there, Teresa!

Welcome back to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us another Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Your stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort is sure to be a slam dunk, Teresa! It's one of my family's favorite Value Disney Resort hotels due to the larger-than-life theming and abundance of great recreation options. It looks like you're in the home stretch - your magical holiday is just a couple of short weeks away!

It sounds like you're planning a day jam-packed with fun, Teresa. I love the idea of breaking up a summer day in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks by cooling off at a Disney water park! At this time, Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is closed for refurbishment, but Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is serving up some splash-tastic fun for Guests! Teresa, I think that visiting a Disney water park during a day that you'll also be visiting the theme parks is very doable. My recommendation would be to pack your swimsuit and water park gear to take with you in the morning so that you can head to the water park without having to return to your Disney Resort hotel first.

To get to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park from a theme park, you may consider boarding a bus at the Disney Resort hotel nearest to the theme park you're visiting in the morning. (For example, if you'll be visiting Magic Kingdom Park in the morning, you could walk over to Disney's Contemporary Resort to board the bus from there.) Please note that you may need to transfer buses at Disney Springs if direct transportation is not available. Alternatively, you could utilize Minnie Van service - a paid personal ride service offered through the Lyft mobile app. This service is my favorite way to quickly zip between locations within the Walt Disney World Resort and would be the fastest way to transfer you directly to and from the Disney water parks!

Teresa, I hope that you find this information helpful as you continue to plan a magical Walt Disney World Resort holiday! I'm wishing you safe travels and a grand slam of a stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. If you have any additional planning questions before or during your trip, please feel free to revisit us at planDisney anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
