    Hi, I'm planning a visit in Jan 2013 and was wondering about the new fantasyland expansion. Does anyone know what will be open by then? (mine train ride, be our guest restaurant, ect.) Where can I check for updates throughout the year?

    Hi Cheryl!

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

    Some parts of the new Fantasyland expansion have already opened such as the new Storybook Circus portion which includes Dumbo, the Great Goofini roller coaster, and the Fantasyland Train Station. 

    Disney had announced that most of the new Fantasyland expansion would be opened by the end of 2012, but until Disney announces an official opening date for an attraction, one doesn't really know.  I suggest checking back with the Walt Disney World Moms Panel later in the year.  You should also consider reading the Disney Parks Blog; Disney has made a lot of announcements there regarding the new Fantasyland.  The Disney Parks Blog is an official Blog of the Disney Company.
