Hi--I'm planning a trip 9/29-10/6. I know that I'm not able to make reservations for dining until 7/1/09 but I'm concerned about knowing park hours then for October. The August calendar posted on 5/1 but still no hours listed. Any suggestions?

    Kelli:

    No worries.

Below is a general schedule for Magic Hours, and now that Fantasmic is no longer showing every night, a good rule of thumb for its performance is at least Thursday night from my observation of Value Season earlier this year.

Keep in mind these are general, and Disney may add additional Magic Hours during peak season, but October is regular season:
    • Magic Kingdom: Sundays at night; Thursday mornings
    • Disney Studios: Mondays at night; Saturday mornings
    • Animal Kingdom: Wednesdays at night; Sunday mornings
    • Epcot: Fridays at night; Tuesday mornings
Disney coordinates its park hours based on the time change, which is later now, so going on past years may not be best.  And if you've got a Water Park & Fun ticket, consider the fact that one of the water parks traditionally closes down in late October for refurbishment over the winter months.

Hopefully this will give you a good outline to do some general planning if the calendar isn't fully operational on the first of the month!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
