Hi, Im planning a Disney vacation for October 2021 and I wanted to get a reservation set up. When do next years rates and available dates for October become available.

Hiya, Wendy, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’re here, because this is the perfect place to start planning your epic 2021 vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that at this time, there hasn’t been a release date for Walt Disney World Resort reservations past September 26, 2021. However, she recommended continuing to check this link for the latest updates to the reservation calendar. In past years, I recall reservations opening up as early as mid-to-late June for the entire following year. Obviously, this year is very different, so we can’t necessarily expect that timeline to stay the same.

October is a great month to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! From the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, to the festive fall décor, to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy! I’m crossing my fingers that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return next year. In past years, tickets for this event are usually released in January or February. So, I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog around that time of year if you’re hoping to nab tickets!

I hope this information helps as you start planning your pixie-dusted adventures, Wendy! Wishing you a magical planning process, and a vacation that takes you to infinity and beyond!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
