Hi! I'm hoping someone can explain the Bus System a little more in depth to me than on the website. When a bus comes, is it a Park specific bus or do they all just do a big loop? As much info on the busses as possible would be amazing! Thanks!

    Hey, Kelsey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With bus, boat, ferry and monorail options available, you should be able to travel anywhere you need within Walt Disney World Resort. Disney recommends 90 minutes of travel time between destinations but we have never needed that much time.

The Walt Disney World Bus Service provides a constant stream of buses departing Resort theme parks and hotels, and Disney Springs. Each bus has a marquee indicating its destination. At all theme parks including Walt Disney World Water Parks and Disney Springs, buses pick up and drop off at the bus depot which has excellent destination signage at the loading area.

Buses that pick up at Resort hotels travel to theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Buses that pick up at theme parks travel to Resort hotels or other theme parks.

Buses do not run between Resort hotels (unless it is for early dining reservations) and there are no buses between Disney Springs and the theme parks. If you require a route which is between Resort hotels or between a theme park and Disney Springs you will need to make a bus transfer at a Resort hotel or at a theme park. For example, to get from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's BoardWalk Inn you would need to transfer buses at Disney's Hollywood Studios which is the closest transfer point.

Disney Dad Tip: The GUIDEMAP available at each theme park has a section called "Leaving the Park?." You may print the current GUIDEMAP by clicking on "Download Printable Map" on the right side of each theme park's web page. This is a great cheat sheet on transportation FROM each theme park.

Kelsey, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
