Hi, I'm doing the Goofy Challenge Jan 2013 and staying at a Disney resort on a dining plan. I'm wondering what to do about breakfast the morning of each of my races. Will there be a bagged breakfast I can pick up and take with me? Thanks so much

Hi Colleen!  Wow!  Congrats on taking on the Goofy!  I hope to get that medal someday!

There will be vendors at the starting area where you can buy breakfast foods and drinks.  I like to get to the starting area really early to get in the spirit of the race and to give my food time to digest.

Usually, I will also stop at one of the resort shops the day before the race and pick up a bag of bagels and some peanut butter to keep in my room.  My pre-race food always includes a plain bagel with peanut butter, so I like to have it with me.  I will fix it up and take it on the bus with me to the starting area.  Then I find a seat and eat it, along with anything that I find at the vendor booths.

If you like to have energy bars, protein bars, gummies, etc. to eat before or during the race, there is a huge selection of products like that you can buy at the expo when you go for packet pick-up.  I usually grab some energy chews and stick them in my race belt.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
