Hiya Wendy,
Thanks for
popping back over to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this delicious question. My family are Walt Disney World Resort refillable popcorn bucket fanatics. Not only is there some kind of pixie dust in the salty, buttery topping that makes the popcorn totally addictive, but the buckets themselves are adorable and make great souvenirs (look closely, as they often feature hidden Mickeys and other Disney details). On our most recent visit, we bought two because we just could not control our snacking!
The refillable popcorn buckets are currently $10 each (they come filled with popcorn) and are valid for refills throughout the length of your stay. Once you’ve worked your way through that golden deliciousness, you’ll be charged $2 for each refill. Please note that those prices are subject to change at any time.
I’m so glad you mentioned
Epcot, because the popcorn choices there are
extra-magical. At the Popcorn cart located by
Journey Into Imagination With Figment, my family was able to choose from Buffalo Blue Cheese, Sour Cream and Chive, and Cheddar Cheese popcorn, along with the classic Butter flavor. (Pro tip: you can MIX the flavors. We loved Sour Cream and Chive mixed with Cheddar Cheese!) These refills currently cost $2, just like the classic carts. Over in the World Showcase’s
Canada Pavilion, you’ll find Maple popcorn, which we really liked. Try it mixed with butter for a salty and sweet combo – yummmmmm.
There is another kind of popcorn that I absolutely must have every single time I visit Walt Disney World: the caramel popcorn from
Karamell-Küche in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion. This popcorn is not included in the refillable bucket program, but it is worth every penny to purchase a bag.
Have so much fun
munching your way around The Most Magical Place on Earth Wendy!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
