Hi If I’m staying off park an want to do Lightening Lane for Rise of the Resistance can I do a Genie+ booking at 7am then a lightening lane for ROTR as soon as the park opens at 8.30am despite it being under 2 hours since my Genie+ booking?

Hey there, Shaun, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! Your Walt Disney World Vacation is quickly approaching, and it’s time to put the final touches on your Disney Vacation planning!

This is a fantastic question, Shaun! When staying in a hotel outside of The Walt Disney World Resort, your Genie+ Lightning Lane booking window opens at 7 a.m. EST. However, your Individual Lightning Lane purchase window does not open until the official Theme Park opening time. Additionally, the 2-hour wait time does not apply to Individual Lightning Lane purchases. Guests receive two Individual Lightning Lane purchase allotments each Theme Park day, and you can complete both purchases as soon as your window opens at 8:30 a.m. EST. That was my long-winded way of saying: Yes! You can purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at 8:30 a.m. EST even though it is within your 2-hour Genie+ booking window because they are not connected!

I hope this helps, Shaun! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
