Hi If i have a dining plan and want to make a reservation with one of the services, is it normal to ask for credit card details? Never done this before so a bit confused as we have already paid for food. Many thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Louise!

Thank you for sending us your great question about Disney Dining Plans and advanced dining reservations.

Your credit card details are used as a “place holder” for your dining reservation. Walt Disney World Resort restaurants that offer advance dining reservations charge a per-person cancellation fee for no shows. Your credit card will only be charged a cancellation fee if you don’t show up for your reservation of if you cancel after 11:59 PM Eastern Time the day before your reservation.

For meals that require pre-payment, such as Cinderella’s Royal Table, make sure to secure your reservation with your dining credits to avoid pre-paying the meal with your credit card. You will see this option at the time of making your reservation.

Louise, is there anything else the Moms Panel can help answer for you? We are always here to help you plan the practically perfect Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
