HI!If I book the rack rate price in July when the rates for 2016 are known and if a better offer arrives after that (summer offer or 30% room only) will I be able to change my booking at that time, even if the amount is reduced/less?

    Caroline:

The situation you describe is why I typically recommend booking a Disney vacation through a Disney-certified travel planner rather than on your own through an online discount travel site or even through Disney's website. Either way, you'll end up having to talk to a human if you want to change your vacation plans. Using a Disney-certified travel planner in my experience let's them worry about the headache of making changes to my reservation and, in my experience, they've let me know a discount was available before I called them. Best of all, their services are free.

Keep in mind that Disney has a limited number of rooms at a resort for their special offers. It's much like the different codes for seats on an airplane. You may book under "code a" that is the July 2016 rate and then "code b" comes out. The discounted rooms sell out, so you'll want to be on top of the discounts or book with an experienced Disney-certified travel planner that knows you'll want to be notified of future discounts. The discount won't be applied automatically.

As long as you make a change to your reservation 45 days in advance of your arrival, you can still make changes without penalty. However, if your arrival days falls after 44 days and you want to change your reservation (including to add a promotion code), you'll have to pay a change fee. Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
