Hi there Aimee!
It's wonderful that you’re planning a Disney trip for your daughter! At 17, the magic of Disney is very much alive, and she’ll still find plenty to enjoy. While it’s true that
costumes are generally limited to guests under 14 years old (except during certain special events such as
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party), that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate some Disney magic into her wardrobe.
A fun alternative is something called “DisneyBounding,” where you dress in everyday clothes inspired by a character’s colors or style. For example, she could wear a dress or outfit that gives a nod to her favorite princess without it being a full costume. Accessories like a tiara or themed jewelry can add a touch of royalty too!
Additionally, Disney provides fantastic services for guests with
disabilities (or different abilities as I like to say), from accessible attractions to quiet spots for resting, ensuring everyone can enjoy the parks comfortably. Make sure to look at this
Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations before your trip to help make the most out of your vacation.
I hope your trip is full of joy and unforgettable moments! Wishing you both the most magical time at Walt Disney World!
