Hello there, Angelique!
Like my good friend Russell from the movie
UP, I love pretending that I’m a wilderness explorer while camping in the great wide somewhere. This sounds like such a fun and unique way to experience the Walt Disney World Resort.
I find it so amazing that you can camp at
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member, and they shared that there are tents and cots available to rent, but they are limited and first come, first serve. Due to limited quantities, I recommend calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to see if you can reserve a tent in advance. The tents are 9’ x 13’ and can accommodate eight adults without cots, but please note that pets are not allowed in the rental tents.
If you plan on renting a tent, you also need to make sure you book a campsite. The tent or pop-up campsites can accommodate equipment on a concrete pad up to 10 feet by 25 feet and have room for up to two tents. It sounds so magical to wake up at the Resort in your tent and simply take a 10-minute boat ride to Magic Kingdom Park.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
