Hi, I was wondering if I could connect a credit card to my daughters magic band when I get there. She is 12 years old. It would be easier for me if she can make her own purchases. Thanks

    Hi Naomi!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
My own daughter has enjoyed becoming old enough to begin to be responsible for some of her own spending during Walt Disney World vacations!

With the new, MagicBand technology, it's easy to put a safe payment system into place with your 'tweenage' daughter. During the check-in process, your Cast Member will ask if you'd like to connect a credit card to your resort reservation for charging privileges. You'll also be asked which card(s) and/or band(s) should have charging privileges - and which should not. If you have younger children, you may wish to say 'no' to those bands/cards for now ;)

Once the credit card is connected to your account, you'll be asked to tap your band, Mickey-to-Mickey to the reader on the counter at the check-in desk. When Mickey lights up green, you'll select a 4-digit security code which you'll use for purchases using the band. Be sure to select a code that your family can all easily remember but that no one else would guess!

Your daughter is sure to enjoy being able to make her own purchases of merchandise and treats during your stay!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Naomi!
I hope you'll write me back again soon if you have more questions. I'd love to hear from you!
