Hi-I have WDW trip planned Jan 6-13 (2013), and just found out there is marathon on the 13th. Crowds are a major concern for us so I'm thinking about changing to Feb 3-10. Factoring in ONLY crowd levels, which week do you think is better? Thanks!!!

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

If 2013 is anything like previous years then it will actually be less crowded in January; it will be a lot less crowded at the beginning of the week and then about the same to slightly higher over Marathon Weekend.  That is because the other week, in February, includes Superbowl Sunday.

That said, there really isn't that much difference in terms of waiting in line more, etc because both periods are low to moderate crowd-wise.  Thus I would pick the time period that works best for you.  I will say that sometimes January can be cold in Florida while that is very unlikely in February.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
