Hi, I understand that selfie-sticks and gimbals aren't allowed in Disney Parks. I was wondering if the DJI Osmo is allowed? The camera is literally built on a stick-like body that holds the screen but isn't a piece that can be seperated. Thanks!

Hi there, Samantha, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Kudos to you for checking in on the Disneyland Resort Rules before arriving at the parks for your next visit! Per the Rules, selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices are not allowed in the Disneyland Resort. However, regarding your specific DJI Osmo, I spoke with a Cast Member near the security check point at Downtown Disney District, and was told that it will be allowed in, so long as it isn’t extendable. The Cast Member I spoke with was very familiar with your DJI Osmo, and said he has actually brought his into the parks recently. So, it looks like you’re good to go!

I hope you’re planning to Get Your Ears On soon! We just found out that the Get Your Ears On festivities will be ending on June 6, 2019. So, if you haven’t had a chance to dance the night away to Mickey’s Mix Magic, I recommend stopping by before then! Save some room for the delicious specialty food and treats, too – I’m currently craving the Toontown Sundae!

We do have some exciting news, though, since Disneyland Forever fireworks will be returning to Disneyland Park starting June 7! You’ll find yourself right in the middle of your favorite Disney and Pixar stories while watching the special effects, projections, and sparkling pyrotechnics of this extraordinary show.

Hope to see ya’ real soon!
