Hi! I have two boys age 10 and 7. We are going to WDW for the first time in April and are wondering which dinner show would be best for the boys. Thank you in advance, Michelle.

    Hi Michelle,

I think you will have high hopes of a great trip confirmed in April.  The dinner shows at Walt Disney World are fantastic and I will give my input on what I like about 2 of my favorites!  First we have "Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show", located at the Polynesian Resort.  This is in true Hawaiian theme, with fire dancers and food which is served family style (which means they bring out a plate loaded for all to enjoy and if you would like more, you need only ask and they will keep filling you up!).  In the good ol' days when I was little and went to this show...it has been one that I always will remember and loved going to.  They have made the show a little more modernized since then but needless to say, I think boys of this age especially would like this experience.

Next, is"The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue", located at Fort Wilderness Campground.  This is a great musical show in true pioneer fashion...just like the old days.  You will holler and hoot as the performers give you a show like you have never seen before.  This was also one of my favorites as a child, when we used to camp out in Fort Wilderness and we would go to this show, then head over to "Pioneer Hall", where we would wind down in the rocking chairs outside after this action packed musical revue....aahhh, good times!  The food is true American fare serving items such as fried chicken, Barbecued ribs, corn, fresh baked bread, etc...

Now it is up to you to decide.  Please enter dinner shows in the "search" box, at www.waltdisneyworld.com you will be able to view all details and current pricing of each of these experiences, as well as "Mickey's Backyard BBQ".  Whichever you choose, you will not go wrong, they are all wonderful.  It really depends on where your boys interests are more focused towards.....Hawaiian, Country, or Pioneer.  Have fun!

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
