Hi! I am going on a trip with my significant other in two weeks (super excited!). I recently had to get my ID updated, so I only have the paper copy that my state gave me. Will this be accepted in the parks if I want to get an alcoholic drink?

Cheers Breanna, and welcome to planDisney! Let's raise a glass to your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

From relaxing with a beverage at a Resort hotel pool bar to sampling fine wines at EPCOT, there are lots of ways to have some grown-up fun at Walt Disney World. Disney does have a policy on the website that outlines what types of ID they'll accept for purchasing adult beverages on property, so that's a good place to start. It lists drivers licenses and state ID's, along with military ID's and U.S. passports as acceptable forms of identification. Your paper copy may work under "state ID's," but I'm not really sure. There's also a phone number on that page that you might want to call just to make sure you have what you need.

Breanna, have you planned a visit to the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival? Be sure to check out the menus for the Outdoor Kitchens ahead of time to see which snacks and sips strike your fancy. A stop by the Pineapple Promenade is highly recommended for a famous Dole Whip float with a splash of coconut rum. That's a vacation in a glass, right there!

I hope this helps you toast your Walt Disney World vacation, Breanna! Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
