Hi there, Jesus. Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney. We're always happy to help make a little magic for Guests planning a
Disney vacation.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is such a fun, whimsical resort that offers families some suites to spread out in. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in a
Cars-themed suite this past summer with our niece and nephew, and it was really nice to have our own separate space from the kids. Don't get me wrong, the time we spend together is great, but sometimes you need a little space. After all, even Lightning McQueen needs a pit stop sometimes. Our suite allowed us to have that space in a more budget-conscious manner. Not to mention that the whole
Cars section of the resort had us feeling like we had stepped right into Radiator Springs.
Currently, there is no way to be notified when any 2-bedroom villas become available. I would recommend you check the site a few times a day, specifically filtering for "
Suites and Villas." This is especially true as the 30-day mark approaches, because vacation package bookings must be canceled 30 or more days before arrival to get a full refund (minus any third-party fees). Some people cancel around that time because they realize they can't make the trip and don't want to lose their deposit. You can also check up to 2 days before arrival, which is typically the last day you can cancel your vacation package to get a refund minus the deposit. For hotel room-only reservations, the last day to get a refund is 8 days before arrival. Just make sure you're checking the
Terms & Conditions of
your vacation package so that you know if you'll be charged a change fee if you're making a change to your reservation less than 30 days out.
Jesus, as Lightning McQueen and his friends would probably say, it's all about enjoying the ride. So if you end up staying at Art of Animation, your family is going to love it. The theming, the
pools, and the
Disney Skyliner access are all just such great features of this resort. And just as a heads up, since the Disney Skyliner station is shared between this resort and
Disney's Pop Century Resort, the lines first thing in the morning can look intimidating. However, in my experience, they move very quickly, and you're on your sky gondola in no time. Those Cast Members keep all lines moving, and before you know it, you'll be whisked away to
Disney's Hollywood Studios or
EPCOT faster than Lightning McQueen competing in the Piston Cup!
New friend, enjoy every minute of your vacation this spring. Please
keep your questions coming!
Life is a highway,
Matt
