Hi, I will be traveling with my daughter, sister and nephew, is it worth using a fastpass on shows like the Fanstasmic or should we arrive a few minutes early. What are the must watch shows? recommendations appreciated as we will go one park a day.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!

My approach to FastPass+ has rarely included shows. It’s a personal choice, but I feel it’s a good fit for my attraction-loving crew! I try to book my FastPass+ for earlier in the day so once we redeem that third pre-booked FP+, I can quickly jump on the My Disney Experience mobile app on my cell and book additional FP+ throughout the day. By booking my first three earlier in the day, there’s a better chance of finding additional available FP+, saving us even more time to enjoy more of the magic during our visits.

When it comes to Fantasmic! I do recommend planning an early arrival of at least 45-minutes to one hour before the show begins. The amphitheater is large, but it does fill up and you don’t want to miss this fantastic show! For all other shows, regular stand-by works great and you don’t have to arrive too much earlier to get seated. And just have an alternate plan to catch a later show if you do miss one of the times. A nice sit-down meal is always a welcome break to an adventure-filled day!

Don’t forget to check out the brand-new Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer! You’ll feel like you shrunk down to toy-size for some BIG-fun!

Thanks again for stopping by. Don’t hesitate to come back and see us for any additional planning questions. Wishing you a magical day,
