Hi! I think my daughter would love the experience of Dining with an Imagineer. Were there in April and she's determined that it's her future job. We are returning in November for her 7th birthday. Is she a little too young, or can this wait? Until 4/

Hello Michele!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I think it's wonderful your daughter wants to be an Imagineer when she grows up.  What a fun job that would be!  Dining with an Imagineer would certainly give her a taste of what that job really entails.  There are no age requirements for this special dining experience.  When I called and spoke to a Cast Member for a little bit more information, she kindly mentioned that even though there wasn't an age requirement, this meal can last for up to 3 hours and to keep that in mind when taking small children.  3 hours can certainly be a long time for little ones to be still and listen.  However, I know that some children are perfectly capable of not only listening but thoroughly enjoying the dining experience.  In fact, I plan on surprising my 8 year old and husband with this during our December trip.  My daughter, who is fascinated with all things Disney, will absolutely love it and be able to sit and listen the entire time.  You know your child best and if you think this is something she would enjoy then I say do it!  Something else the Cast Member I spoke to mentioned is that this is a dining experience for up to 10 people.  If you don't have 10 people planning on joining you, your meal will be shared with other families.  Everybody sits together at a long table and gets to chat with the Imagineer the entire time.

I hope this helps with your decision!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
