Hi I have just seen there is a Star Wars nite event on 2 out of the 3 days we have booked at Disneyland. Does this mean on 2 out of our 3 days there we will be made to leave at 6pm? We have paid full price and this hardly seems fair.

Hi there, Loren! Welcome to planDisney where we hope to make your vacation planning wishes come true during your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort! Thank you so much for trusting us with this question and I'll do my best to lend some helpful advice.

I see that your next visit to Disneyland Resort will coincide with the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite on two different event nights. This separately-ticketed, after-hours event takes place at Disneyland Park from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM on select evenings. In general, we've seen that Disneyland Park closes to non-party Guests one hour prior to the party's start time. So, my best guess is that Disneyland Park's regular closing hour will be at 8:00 PM on event nights, but this hasn't yet been confirmed for those dates in April, just yet.

I'm sorry if this was unexpected news, Loren, but please don't worry because I have some recommendations on how to maximize your time and experiences at Disneyland Resort! I find that opting for a Park Hopper ticket is particularly valuable since it will grant you access to both theme parks during eligible Park Hopper hours. So, even if Disneyland Park closes early for the special event, you'll be able to use your Park Hopper ticket to enter Disney California Adventure Park to continue experiencing the magic! If you have chosen a 1 Park Per Day Ticket, my recommendation would be to select Disney California Adventure Park when your theme park reservations on at least one of the days when you know that Disneyland Park is closing early for the Disneyland After Dark events. Then, you'd have at least one full day in Disneyland Park on the non-party date to take advantage of regular park hours without worrying about it closing early.

I know this is a lot of information, Loren. But, I hope it helps summarize some options that are available to you as you continue preparing your visit itinerary and plans for enjoying your Disneyland Resort vacation. If we can help clarify anything, or answer further questions, please feel welcome to reach out to planDisney again. We'd love to help!

    Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
