Hi,I just returned last month from a trip to Disney. It was great.I am now making plans to return in the first week of December. Can you tell me what kind of clothing to bring for that time of the year? I am a big overpacker.

Hi, Janet!   The weather in early December is usually very comfortable with an average daily high temperature in the low 70's.   Now for my kids, they throw on shorts, they are so excited to be escaping a cold Ohio winter!   But if you plan for capris, jeans, or even shorts on some days, you will be fine.   I find the evenings get chilly once the sun goes down, so bring a jacket you normally wear at home in the fall (a cozy fleece, or medium weight jacket.)  To save space, this is usually the jacket I wear on the airplane down to Florida.   (Sometimes a bit chilly at home without a winter coat in December, but saving space is so important with baggage fees!)  I also toss a pair of lightweight gloves in everyone's pockets just in case!

You will find those crazy weather days where it shoots up to the 80's or drops into the 60's, so the day before you leave go to to see what the forecast in Orlando looks like.   If you see really warm weather, toss in swim suits, and if it looks below average, an extra sweatshirt will come in handy.

Wishing you sunny skies during your December WDW vacation!   Enjoy!
