Hi!I resaved 7-Night Alaskan magic ship Cruise from Vancouver 21-May-2026 to 28. On this route, if the weather is good, can I meet characters on the outdoor deck on glacier viewing day? I would also like to know what kind of events will held.

    Ahoy there, Kaho!

Welcome back to planDisney! Your Alaskan adventure on the Disney Magic sounds like a voyage of a lifetime—what an incredible itinerary you’ve chosen! As someone who lived in Alaska, I can tell you firsthand that the sights are breathtaking, and I can’t wait to experience an Alaskan Disney cruise myself one day. My crew and I miss our Alaskan adventures and are itching to return—Disney-style!

Now, let’s talk about characters in the wild! While character appearances are always subject to change, Alaskan sailings typically include outdoor meet-and-greets, especially during glacier viewing day—because what could be more magical than seeing Mickey dressed in his best explorer gear with an icy wonderland behind him? If the weather is behaving like Olaf in summer (warm and sunny, that is), you’ll likely find characters on Deck 10 for that perfect mountain-meets-magic photo op! If the sea breeze starts channeling Elsa’s icy blast, they may move to Deck 4 along the walking/jogging track, where you can still get those stunning glacier views while staying a little more sheltered. Be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard for actual times and locations, so you don’t miss a chance to meet your favorite Disney pals against one of the most breathtaking backdrops on Earth!

Since these itineraries were just released, Disney is still finalizing the entertainment lineup, but based on past Alaskan cruises, you can expect a flurry of fun activities! Some favorites from your Disney Dream sailing—like Bingo, animation classes, trivia, movie screenings, and crafts—may make a return. And speaking of Frozen fun, Alaskan sailings typically feature the Frozen Deck Party, where Anna, Elsa, and their Arendelle friends bring an extra cool celebration to the high seas. But with both the Magic and the Wonder sailing to Alaska next year, we’ll have to wait and see if Captain Mickey has any new surprises up his sleeve!

Kaho, I hope this helps as you plan your adventure into the great wide somewhere! If you have any more questions, I’d love to help navigate your way to more magic.

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
