Hi Matthew,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. When we visit Walt Disney World with extended family, I love to stay in
Deluxe Villa accommodations. It’s nice to have the extra space where we can relax and hang out together, and the kitchens in the one- and two-bedroom villas are a really fantastic amenity.
At Disney’s Beach Club Villas, the one-bedroom accommodations sleep no more than four adults. Depending on the room you’re assigned, you could either find a King or Queen bed in the bedroom area and a Queen or Double sleeper sofa in the living room area. The occupancy limit is determined by fire code, so adding extra people is prohibited for safety reasons.
The Studio rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Villas actually accommodate five adults. These rooms feature a Queen bed, a Double sleeper sofa, and a pull-down Single bed. While you won’t have a full kitchen, the room features a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker.
Matthew, there are other Deluxe Villa resorts you could look at if you do want the one-bedroom layout and amenities along with the ability to sleep five. Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a great option if you’re looking for proximity to Magic Kingdom Park and a variety of transportation options, and Disney's Old Key West Resort is a great option if you want to return “home” at the end of your theme park day and feel that you’re in a peaceful vacation community.
If you’d like to explore more possibilities for sleeping five Guests, I suggest calling Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936. The Cast Member you speak with can present your options along with pricing and availability, and help you find exactly the right resort for your needs.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
