Hi Lucy, welcome to planDisney. I'm sorry to hear you've been having some hitches with your booking. Let me try and help with the low down on the current U.K. Guest booking experience.

At the moment, special ticketed events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can be booked from the U.K. via third-party operators rather than directly through the Walt Disney World Travel Company website.

Enchanting extras, like Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, cannot be pre-booked by U.K. residents through the Walt Disney World website or over our Disney phone number. Some Guests have had luck using the 'Chat With Us' function within the My Disney Experience App, where a helpful Cast Member may be able to book you a spot in this chat area, subject to availability from 60 days before your arrival date.

Alternatively, once you arrive in the States, you can use the My Disney Experience to book any Enchanting Extra (subject to availability) or speak with a Cast Member at your Disney Resort hotel or Guest Relations for assistance.

I hope this information is helpful, Lucy, and I'm sorry it may not feel all that magical. That said, I have always found Cast Members as accommodating to our wishes as possible, so I'm sending all the pixie dust I can muster to help you secure a spot in your wished-for extra.
