Hi, I purchased tickets and set up reservations for my family to visit the parks. Unfortunately we had one family member who injured her leg, and we are unable to come. Can I cancel our reservation completely and make a new one for a later date?

    Hi there, Lindsey!

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask us a Disneyland Resort question. I’m so sorry to hear about your family member’s injury and that you’ll have to delay your magical vacation!

You can absolutely adjust your theme park reservation to visit a different time than you previously booked, and you can make this change online. Simply log into your account on Disneyland.com and visit “Ticket and Reservation Details” under the “My Disneyland” tab. Select “View My Park Reservations” and then click “cancel” next to the reservation you’re editing. I strongly suggest that you don’t cancel it unless you’re sure you aren’t able to visit at that time because the cancellation can’t be reversed once it’s processed. After you have released the original reservation, you’ll be able to book a new one immediately, pending reservation availability. Also, please keep in mind that you may only book future dates that fall in the ticket tier you originally purchased.

I hope this helps answer your question, Lindsey, and that your family will be able to enjoy a pixie-dusted vacation before long! Please write back and ask us any other planning questions you have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
