    Hi, I am planning to visiit Disney world November 4th -11th and was wondering it would still be on the warmer side to allow for swimming. We are use to going in Septemeber. Also should the Parks be decorated for Christmas at that time? Thanks

    Hi Debbie!

    Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!  You've picked a great time to go! 

    You are probably going to get there right during the week when they begin taking down the Halloween/Autumn decorations and begin putting up the gorgeous Christmas ones.  You may get to see a little of both!  It is absolutely amazing how the Parks seem to transform overnight during these times!  Usually the Holiday Decorations are up by the second week of November, when the Holiday Special Events, such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, begin taking place, so I bet you WILL see both!  They may not have ALL of them out until the end of November, though - especially in all of the Resorts.  It usually takes a little longer to get all of the fabulous gingerbread and chocolate displays up.

    As for swimming, I have been to Walt Disney World during every month of the year, and I have gone swimming in the heated pools at the Resorts during every month of the year.  That being said, it is possible that you could happen to visit during a Florida cold spell - and Florida does get some very cold spells!  I would check the weather forecast just before you go, and plan accordingly.  I have been there wearing shorts and flip flops in November, and I have been needing a winter coat and gloves in November as well!

    But we ALWAYS take our bathing suits - JUST IN CASE!
