Hi, I am planning a trip to Disney world in 2020, I understand previously if a child is 2 on check in and celebrates their birthday in a Disney resort a child park ticket is not required for duration of stay. Has this policy changed? Thanks

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angela. We're so glad you stopped by!

How thrilling to hear you're beginning to plan a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many new and exciting experiences coming to the theme parks! You're sure to have a magical stay.

To answer your question; yes, if a Guest is 2-years old upon check-in and celebrates their birthday during their visit, they do not need theme park admission as they are considered to be under the age of 3 for the length of their stay. Isn't that great? A few summers ago my family traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort four days before my son turned 3-years old. Since he was only 2-years old at the time we checked-in to our Disney Resort hotel, we weren't required to purchase theme park admission for him at any point during our vacation. The day he celebrated his 3rd birthday was just magical! We spent the morning in Magic Kingdom Park experiencing his favorite attractions and then had a special birthday lunch at The Crystal Palace. I'll never forget how pleased my little guy was when he was presented with a cupcake and a birthday card signed from Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood!

I hope this was helpful, Angela. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling with a little one in tow!
