Hello Juwei!
Thanks for sailing over with your question! I'm so glad you're planning to arrive in plenty of time for your cruise. You're already off to a great start with your planning!
There are lots of options for
getting from Orlando to Port Canaveral. One choice would be to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport and
reserve ground transportation with Disney Cruise Line from the airport the next day. Many Orlando area hotels offer options for getting to the cruise port, and I've used rideshare services as well.
Since you're already driving to Orlando, I would suggest driving a bit farther down the road to Cocoa Beach to stay in a hotel near the port the night before your cruise. Disney Cruise Line recommends the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, which gives you the chance to explore the beach or walk to the pier for the evening. Then you could use a ride share to go to the port when you're ready, it's just a few miles away.
If you decide to drive to the terminal yourself then you'll use the
parking adjacent to the cruise terminal. The parking garage opens at 10:15 AM each day and you can walk right over to the ship!
Being prepared makes embarkation day a breeze, so don't forget your
travel documents while you're packing! Whatever mode of transportation you choose, make sure you are at the port in plenty of time for your
arrival window. It's also a good idea to check the
prohibited and restricted items list to make sure you don't have any issues with your luggage.
Drive safe and have a fabulous cruise, Juwei!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
