Hi I have my parents linked onto my Disney account and they have linked their passes to my account for their holiday next year. The problem is that I’m not going with them. Is this going to be a problem?

    Hiya Michelle!

Welcome to planDisney! The Family & Friends list is a fun way to not only plan vacations together but also glimpse what your friends are doing without you!

What I think is happening is how you have you have set your relationships in your My Disney Experience account. I bet if you logged in to your My Disney Experience account and looked at your Family & Friends list you will see your parents with "All My Plans" selected. If your parents look as well they will find the same. Just select "Only Our Shared Plans" and you will find that only plans you have together will be viewable. It should be no problem viewing their passes but if you see your name being assigned to the tickets then I would reach out to the Disney Experts and have that corrected.

It is interesting to see what your family and friends are doing but it can be overwhelming if they are frequent travelers. I prefer to keep all my relationships to just "Only Our Shared Plans" for my sanity.

I hope this helps and your parents have a wonderful time on their upcoming trip! I wonder if you are tempted to take a leap and join them! If you need any more suggestions make sure to come back!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
