Hi, I am a newly DVC member and this will be our first trip staying at BLT. Is there any tips for staying there? Also, how are the crowds during Feb 5-11? Lastly, its the families second trip to DW any shows or must do for this time around?

    Welcome Home!

I am thrilled to hear that you have committed to vacations you never outgrow with your family. You are going to wish you joined sooner. We all do!

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is my Home Resort and one of my favorites! My first tip? Breathe in! I live for that first sniff of the scent of this particular Disney Vacation Club Resort. It tells me that I'm Home and vacation has begun. Occasionally I find products in my normal life with a similar smell, and I must make them all mine.

Next, just above you on the 16th floor of your DVC Resort, you will find Top of The World Lounge. This quiet hideaway with the very best view in all of Walt Disney World Resort is an exclusive benefit for Disney Vacation Club Members staying onsite. To reach it, simply stop by the concierge desk in the lobby with your Member ID and let them know that you would like to head on up. The friendly Cast Member will escort you to the dedicated elevator and you will begin your journey. Enjoy a delicious flatbread, tasty beverage, and the sights!

Check out the Community Hall located just beyond the lobby. With complimentary or low-cost arts & crafts, board games, video games, complimentary DVD rentals and more, this is a nice place to take a break and enjoy the family.

I find crowd calendars to be extremely unreliable. As new experiences are announced around Disney Parks, vacations patterns change dramatically. Don't worry. Take advantage of FastPass+, Advance Dining Reservations, pool time in the busy afternoons, and quiet spaces. You will have a great time.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

Meet the Panelist: Sally, Texas

"To all who come to this happy place, welcome." I am the lucky wife to my brave Prince and a stay-at-home mom to two bold and brilliant little girls; one a Jedi Padawan and the other a Princess. Joining the Disney Vacation Club meant that our family could travel to a "World of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy" as often as we could sneak away, so we do! I would be thrilled to sprinkle a little Pixie Dust on your next unforgettable vacation. Learn More About Sally
