Hi, I am very new to runDisney, and I was looking at the Expedition Everest weekend. Would my kids be able to take part in the kids program, and us do the family edition as well? I see they start an hour apart...is that enough time to do both? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emilee!

And welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney! I hope any experiences you have had with this race series have been magical so far.

runDisney announced just yesterday that 2015 will be the last run of the Expedition Everest Challenge! And with it being the last year, the main evening event will be the only race offered during this weekend. There will not be any Kids' Races or Family Edition available.

I'm not sure of your children's ages, but the minimum age requirement for the Expedition Everest Challenge is only 9 years old. My son ran this race with me at the age of 9 in 2011 and we had a great time running as a team together, even though it was late in the evening. Just an idea for you if your children are old enough and you're really wanting to participate in this very last race.

If you should have any additional questions, Emilee, please let me know! I am here to help you plan a memorable runDisney-cation.
