It sounds like you're gEARing up for another trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth and you want to clean up your
My Disney Experience account to make it easier to navigate! While you can leave other people on your Family & Friends list even if they're not traveling with you on your next trip, you're also welcome to remove them. Just note that doing so will permanently delete them from your Family & Friends list.
Just a quick reminder that if you're planning on using the new
Genie+ Service on your next trip, you WILL be able to pick and choose which of your family and friends want to be added to each Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane, so you won't have to worry about adding people who aren't with you! Disney Genie is incredible at knowing which members of your party are available to book another experience.
Now, to remove someone from your Family & Friends list, start by logging into your My Disney Experience account and opening your Family & Friends list. Once you've found the name of the person you want to delete, click "Edit" and then "Remove" or "Delete." This language may be different depending on whether the other person's account is also connected to their own My Disney Experience account or if it is a child managed by you or someone else. After clicking "delete" you should receive a pop-up message asking you to confirm the delete. This should remove the person from your Family & Friends list.
If you're still having trouble, I suggest calling (407) 939-4357 and asking for assistance from a wonderful Cast Member. Sometimes they just have a little more access to the pixie dust, and they will get you set in no time!
