Hi! I made my dinner reservations for 4 people...but in a happy last minute decision, we have another guest coming. I tried changing my reservations to 5 people but it shifts up my whole plans! Is it possible for 5 people to show up in a 4 people reserve?

Hello and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am always the first to recommend changing your guest party reservation number should another person decide to join in on the fun.  This is a sure way to guarantee that there are no issues that come with your dining reservation.  Now with that being said, I can tell you that I have had a Cast Member tell me once that they seldom turn away a party with a reservation that have an extra person or two whom show-up without notice.  They usually try to accommodate the extra guests.  Is this a hundred percent guarantee?  Well, because I have never tested this scenario, I cannot tell you that they will seat your extra party guest. However, I do believe that the Cast Members are not going to turn away a party with a reservation because of an extra person.  If this still worries you, then I highly recommend revisiting your dining reservations and making the necessary changes.
