Well hello, Nadyne. Welcome to planDisney, our little home for all things
Disney vacation planning.
While I have never been to the
Walt Disney World Resort on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve, I
have been during the
holiday season...and it's one of my favorite times to visit. I've always loved holiday decorations and you don't get much better than the decorations around the theme parks, the
Disney Resort Collection Hotels, and
Disney Springs. I've said it a million times, but there's nothing like the Most Magical Place on Earth during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
If you'd like to see how much a 1-day theme park ticket would cost on either Christmas Day or New Year's Eve, simply navigate to the
ticketing page and press the blue "Continue" button next to "Theme Park Ticket." Then, select the number of days you'd like to visit (in your case, it's likely 1 day) and use the calendar to select the date(s). Once you've done that, select what type of ticket you'd like (if it's a 1-Day,1 Park Per Day ticket, you'll have to select the theme park you'd like to visit) and select the number of tickets. You should see the subtotal at the bottom. You can continue through the process to see if there's anything else you'd like to add to your ticket purchase.
Did you know that the parade that is usually exclusive to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is typically performed during the last week of the year for
everyone at Magic Kingdom Park? While nothing has been announced for this upcoming holiday season as of yet, this is usually the case and since it's a great parade, you'll likely want to keep an eye out for it if that's the park you're visiting! And speaking of keeping an eye out, follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements related to the upcoming holiday season at the resort. They usually start around June, but you never know!
As a hot tip, both of these days are some of the busiest days at the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort, especially
Magic Kingdom Park on both days and
EPCOT on New Year's Eve. As such, you will want to ensure you only leave the park you are in when you are
sure you're done with experiencing what it has to offer. I say this because it's not uncommon for the parks to close due to capacity at some point during these days, even if you have a valid theme park ticket and/or you are re-entering the park. In short, if there's still more you'd like to do that day, I wouldn't risk leaving with the hope of coming back.
Nadyne, I hope you have the merriest time ever at the resort. Please
reach out again if you have any other questions.
This is SO tinsel,
Matt
