Welcome, James!
We're so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you are planning a holiday visit with your family to the Happiest Place on Earth! You are going to love all the merry touches throughout the parks this time of year. I'm sure you are eager to finalize all those magical plans, so let's take a look at your question together.
The good news is that a multi-day,
One-Park-Per-Day ticket can be upgraded to a Park Hopper easily with just a few taps within the Disneyland App, provided Park Hopper theme park reservations are available. The less-than-pixie-dusted news is that your full ticket will be upgraded, as it is not possible to upgrade just one day of a multi-day ticket. In other words, it will be the same price no matter if you upgrade your full ticket prior to your visit or if you visit the ticket booths at the end of your first park day to just upgrade your second day. The only way to have a single One-Park-Per-Day ticket and a single Park Hopper ticket would be to buy them individually. All that to say, it would be worth it to upgrade your multi-day ticket to a Park Hopper ahead of time so you can maximize the magic!
If you'd like to upgrade your tickets, once you are on property and able to use the Disneyland App, tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets and Passes". Under each barcode, you will see the option to "
Change Ticket". Here, you can select any tickets you are planning to upgrade that are linked to your account. On the next screen, scroll down and select "Change Ticket Types" followed by "Park Hopper". A calendar will appear and show you the price difference for the upgrade, and you will be asked to select a park where you will begin your day with hopping available between the two after 11:00 AM. Once the transaction is complete, your ticket will be upgraded, and your theme park reservations will be updated.
If you have any questions ahead of your visit, feel free to reach out to
Guest Services via phone or chat, or visit Guest Relations in the Main Entrance Esplanade. The Cast Members there will be able to see directly into your account and can help answer specific questions you have about your particular tickets.
With the holidays upon us, you'll want to take note of all the holly jolly happenings! I love to take a look at the
Entertainment Schedule ahead of any visit. Make note of the park hours and any parades, nighttime spectaculars, and activities you don't want to miss. This is a great way to map out your park days and fill in the rest with your favorite attractions and treats! There's even a handy holiday guide right in the Disneyland app. When you open up to the home screen, scroll down just a bit to the "Holidays at the Disneyland Resort Section" and tap "View Guide". You can filter the offerings by attractions, food, entertainment, and merchandise to find all the limited-time fun!
James, I sure hope we've set you up for a successful visit next week. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
