Hi Zakia!
Absolutely yes, Animal Kingdom is a park for 3 year olds! I simply cannot pass over any Animal Kingdom questions because I love it so much. I remember the first time I heard that Disney was building an animal park, I thought, "Oh, no. It's just going to be a zoo. Yuck!" I'm not an animal person--but the first time I went to Animal Kingdom I was hooked--it is breathtaking!
There are 2 main animal trails--you walk through each trail and get to view all kinds of animals. It seems like you are right next to the animals (well, actually, you are right next to the bats and they are creeepy!). If your 3 year old likes animals they will love this part! You can go at your own pace so it's perfect for preschoolers.
Camp Minnie-Mickey is a fun area where you can have lots of character sightings and autographs. This is also the place where you can see The Festival of the Lion King...which may be my favorite show of all times! (There is one tiny scary part in it with a fire-breather during the song "Be Prepared".) Be on the lookout for the "camp counselors" with guitars, they might just make up a song about you and your kids. So magical!
There is also the Boneyard which is really just a giant playground; the petting zoo, "Affection Station" and my very favorite the Kilimanjaro Safari!
Really, you just can't go wrong with this park. If you are visiting 2 parks with a preschooler--Animal Kingdom is the way to go! Click over the the Animal Kingdom
