Hi Marc, welcome to planDisney. I'm delighted to hear about your Walt Disney World plans.
You are quite right, Marc. At this time, you need to secure both tickets and park reservations to enter the parks. The
14-Day Magic Ticket is a great choice and includes benefits such as Memory Maker. Once you have purchased your tickets, I recommend booking your
Theme Park Reservations as soon as possible. Essentially, you will select a park for each day you plan on visiting, subject to availability. Hence, the earlier you book, the more likely you'll get your preference. Not to worry if your plans change; you can modify these reservations.
One other thing to note, Marc, the 14-Day Magic Ticket includes
park hopping. So, in the morning, you can visit that Theme Park Reservation and then hop to any other of the parks after 2 p.m. on that same day. We love using this flexibility throughout our Walt Disney World adventures. Indeed, I like making Theme Park Reservations as it gets me thinking about what we want to do on our trip; in the words of Mary Poppins 'in every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.'
Another job I'd recommend ahead of your trip is to download the
My Disney Experience App. It's a great help in the parks, providing access to up-to-date ride wait times,
Mobile Food and Beverage ordering, and much more.
Marc, there are so many exciting developments at Walt Disney World in 2023;
TRON Lightcycle / Run is launching in April, and enhancements to evening entertainment and shows are also set to begin in Spring. It's a great time to visit, and I wish you and yours a truly magical trip. Louise
