Hi, Donna!
Your multi-generational family trip to
Walt Disney World sounds wonderful! October is a great time to visit, too, as fall decor makes its way into the parks, making everything even more festive. So exciting!
Regarding an October stay, I suggest that you head over to
Walt Disney World's website and see if there are any specials currently offered during the time you plan to visit. Once on the main page, hover your cursor over the "Places to Stay" tab; on the right side of the window that opens, look for "Featured Items", where you'll find specials being offered at this time. For example, "
Save Up to 25% on Rooms" may take you to a page where you'll see details of an offer that may work for you.
If a discounted package is now available, but you already have an existing reservation, check to see if you are within the time period that enables you to cancel that reservation with no penalty. Currently, that window is 30 days prior to check-in, but
call Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-1936 for details regarding your own reservation. Be sure to secure the new, discounted reservation before cancelling the original one, though, as discounted packages are available on a limited basis.
Be sure to send
Disney Parks Moms Panel additional questions as you think of them, Donna; we love to help!
